Over the weekend, former UND linebacker Will Ratelle signed as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons. Throughout his time at UND, Ratelle emerged as the leader of a defense that improved considerably during his last two years on campus. Ratelle is a bit shorter than a typical linebacker in the NFL,and wil be given a chance to compete as a fullback for the Falcons. The Edina native has done well do differentiate himself and give himself a chance at the next level. Ratelle had an impressive pro day at the University of Minnesota. The style of game he plays lends itself well to both sides of the ball. There has not been a game in his career that was not smash mouth full motor effort for him. Every play opposing defenses had to account for the Edina native. Ratelle should get his reps during the preseason and have a chance to make the Falcons 53-man roster this fall.
