Northeast Generals: Week in review

This week presented the NAHL Generals an opportunity to get better through practice and development as they did not have any dames scheduled. Their NA3HL team played and won two games against Long Beach to remain undefeated, winning close games that again showed how well Head Coach Daryl Locke has his team running.

Weekend Highlights

Here are Locke’s thoughts on the two games played this week.

“ I thought Saturday’s game Matt Nuzzolilo had the biggest impact for us. His speed and compete level all over the ice was hard for them to contend. Same with Payton Felix. His speed all over pucks creates numerous offensive opportunities for his line mates. Mason Joseph was very good in net when called upon. We were scrambling a bit in front of him in the second period and he shut the door for us thankfully. In today’s game I thought we started slow again.D’Mar McCoy kept us in the game with some timely saves in the 1st period. Owen McNamee sparked the bench with his fight sticking up for his teammate, who was hit from behind. I think it was the deciding factor in the game as the boys were determined to keep the streak going. Tyler Ramm with 3 goals in 2 games is showing signs of breaking out. He and Caiden Hess made it hard on The Long Beach defense all weekend. Overall, a decent weekend but still plenty to work on this week. “

Given the positive work of the NA3HL team, they head to another week undefeated with players making their mark in junior hockey.
