Head Coach Bryan Erikson said “Friday’s game I thought was one of our better games. It was so great to have Jared Scott and Nick Ramm back after absences for injury. Jared scored right away and he was back to his old self. Nick looked much better than I expected in his first game in months. But overall a great game where Cullen was awesome in net. Saturday was a game that you forget about. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. Just a poorly played game but you have to give credit to Danbury for playing hard from the drop of the puck and capitalizing on our miscues. Tough to lose such an important game but we have a big series next week in New Jersey that we have to move on.”

Erikson discussed Luke Fundator, the new goalie for this group.

He said “ As for Luke Fundator. Luke is a great goalie who brings a lot of experience at the Junior level to us. Mason has been battling injuries and last year when we had an injury to our goalie right before the Fraser Cup it put us in a real bad situation. So this year we have 3 #1 goalies. Luke is a very athletic goalie that in his first action vs. Baystate did a great job getting the win. We are excited to gear up for the final push before the playoffs.”

Daryl Locke, the Head Coach of this group said the following.

“ Going into the Norwich game we talked about establishing a physical presence in all three zones of the ice. Being on the road makes it easier sometimes to execute your game plan. There’s less pressure when your not playing in front of family and friends. I think we were able to execute our game plan in the first ten minutes and that carried us through the remainder of the game. Matt Nuzzolilo and Caiden Hess were electric with their speed and physicality. Both had two goals apiece. Sammy Lamphear with a big goal. Happy for Sammy as he’s been working hard in practice. Cody Lambert had a three point night. He continues to be a physical presence for us. We had a few regulars out with injuries and suspensions so it was nice to see the lower half of the lineup pick up the team.Friday’s game was another physical game for us. On the road again, we knew it would be tough going into their barn and trying to impose our will on them. We struggled a bit in the first ten minutes. Ethan Hollingsworth, a recent call up from our U18 team, scored a nice goal to open our scoring. Nolan Murphy is starting to heat up for us. His shot is so hard and quick that goalies have a hard time reacting to it. He’s beginning to find his touch around the net again and that’s great news for us. His two goals along with Nick Wracker’s two goals gave us a comfortable lead all game. Recently acquired Luke Fundator was solid in the net for us. Overall, a good four points for the team as we head down the stretch.”
