NAHL Northeast Generals Week in Review

This week, the Generals earned two of six points playing the Jr. Hat Tricks on Monday and then followed that up with two hard fought losses this weekend against the New Jersey Titans. The team started out well against Danbury as David Tolan continues to impress at the NAHL level and got scoring started on Monday assistaing on a Jackson McCarthy goal. Oliver Drum got the win stopping 27 of 30 shots faced.

The good fortune from the win did not go on the road for the team against the Titans. After a 7-2 loss on Friday, the team had a better Saturday. Better did not get them points as despite Asher Wites scoring his first of the season, the team did not earn any points this weekend. With that said, some good things for the Generals did happen this week. New veteran forward Alexander Krause has two points in two games played and is providing immediate depth at forward that General Manager Matt Dibble envisioned when he moved a lot of assets to trade for him. Evan Orr is providing the expected veteran leadership on defense. In net, two goaltenders that did not break camp with the team are driving things forward. Cullen DeYoung was honorable mention for goalie of the month in January, and Oliver Drum is getting better each time he plays. There are plenty of opportunities for this team which is pushing to try and move up the standings and win the East Division, to do just that down the stretch.
