For the Northeast Generals, they love players that grow and get better as people and on the ice, as do most organizations. Head Coach Bryan Erikson wants players on his team that outwork their opponent and care about getting better every day as people and players. Development is at the center of what the Generals do, and one player that epitomizes that growth is Jacob Kaminski. He is a player worth more than the box score can show. Whenever he is on the ice he often provides a shut down presence against skilled opponents as he did at the NA3HL level last year. He has one more year of junior hockey after this year and Head Coach Bryan Erikson had this to say about him saying “ Jacob Kaminski is a mature kid that plays a mature game. He was a monster for us at the NA3 level both offensively and defensively. At the NA level he needed to adapt his game to be more defensively minded. And he has done that. His work ethic is insane. He is physical and will not be out worked at he forced the staff and his teammates to buy into him as a player and a person. We are excited about where he is now and extremely excited about where he can grow his game to.”

Why did you decide to play hockey?

“I was introduced to it at a young age by my dad and the more I played the more I fell in love with the game.”

What is your favorite food and why?

“Chicken parmesan because I love chicken and pasta and they go together well.”

What is your favorite thing about the Generals?

“They are a very professionals organization and they have all the tools and coaching staff to help players reach their goals.”

Where are you from ?

“Michigan”

What is your favorite subject and why?”

“History because I enjoyed learning about different historical events and artifacts discovered around the world. “

“I am a physical and hard working player who will do anything asked of him to help the team have success.”

“Niklas Kronwall”

What is your best hockey memory?

“My best hockey memory so far would have to be my junior hockey career I have traveled from the west coast all the way to the east coast and met so many people that have impacted my life in a very positive way.”

What are your goals on and off the ice this year?

“Become a faster on and off the ice and gain weight as well as work on becoming healthy and knowing what I’m fueling my body with.”

What is your favorite tv show or movie to watch? “Deadpool”

Tell us one unique thing about you off the ice

“I work in a wood pallet factory during the summer.”

What is your favorite place to go around the rink in Attleboro? “Jersey mikes”

What is your favorite video game or thing to do in your spare time? “Play golf and workout.”

Who do you look up to most in your life and why? “I look up to my dad the most because he is a hard working guy and has always pushed me to be a better person and athlete because he knows how much potential one can have when they work hard and care about what they are trying to accomplish.”
