History has its eyes on the Northeast Generals as they earn a semis spot in Fraser Cup : Quick recap

Last year, the Northeast Generals were here. They were in the Fraser Cup but did not earn a spot in the semifinals. They have earned two wins this time around to secure a semifinals spot.

Tonight, on a Nolan Zotter hat trick, Bryan Erikson said of the wins, “ It is obviously a very big deal that we are the first team in the league to clinch a spot in the semi-finals. But we have a lot more we want to accomplish. Darryl has done an amazing job. 2 more wins is a lot to ask of the boys but we are asking anyway! Looking forward to a big game on Saturday.”

Head Coach Darryl Locke added “I’m happy for the organization and how far we’ve come as a team from the beginning of the season. The boys have put in the work and are finally seeing the results we’ve hoped for. Today wasn’t our best game as we struggled at times in different situations but the fourth line picked us up in a big way. Nick Wracker, our captain, Michael Locke, and Nolan Zotter, who had three of the biggest goals of the season, were electric tonight. Anytime you can get secondary scoring from the lower half of your lineup is a major plus. Hats off to those three as they really elevated their game. Mason Joseph shut the door once again and showed why he is a premier goalie in the league. Happy for our owners Bob, Bryan, and Rich who’ve made all this possible. Lots of work left before Saturday.”
