To move forward for the Northeast Generals, they have looked to the same source of advice that has brought them Hugo Haas and Douglas Friberg. That advice and their relationship has helped them find talented forward Max Lundgren.
On Lundgren Head Coach Bryan Erikson said
“Max Lundgren is a big forward that brings a great skill set and a nose for the net to our team. He is extremely skilled and can score goals. Another great find by Mike McCarthy who runs Future Stars in Sweden. We got Hugo Haas and Doug Friberg from him as well. We look forward to Max making the same huge impact as those guys.”
With the Generals having key pieces like Jackson McCarthy and Dave Andreychuk returning, they need a fast forward like Lundgren who plays a physical game to set his team up in space. Those are the type of players that do well in Attleboro, and Erikson, thanks to the help of General Manager Matt Dibble.
On Lundgren Dibble added
“ We think Max is going to be high end for us. He comes recommended by the same person who has hit big time with us in Hugo Haas and Doug Friberg. We looking forward to getting Max here and expect him to make a big impact on the ice day one.”
Adding big forwards to provide grit and skill are a big part of the off-season for the Generals. For this team to get back to the playoffs and get as far as they can, Lundgren has to contribute, as Dibble said, from day one.
