Northeast adds skill to their 22-23 roster: Read more

When General Manager Matt Dibble has a long knowledge of a player, it usually works out well for all parties involved. The team signing defender Charlie Robinson to a tender for this year hopes to have a similar result.

Head Coach Bryan Erikson said “ Charlie came and skated with us this season and he fit into our group on and off the ice right away. Matt Dibble has a long relationship with Charlie and always sends high end kids. On the ice Charlie is an incredibly smooth skating D man. He gets on his edges really well and has great hands. His first pass is always hard and accurate. He also has a great feel for when to jump into the play. We think he will make a big impact from day 1.”

Dibble said “ Charlie is a kid who is getting better quickly. He transitioned to defense late in his career and we look forward to continuing to develop him as he switches positions. As a long time Roc city elite player, I have a good relationship with Charlie so we know he will fit into an already good culture.”

Robinson has a high end offensive punch in his game and plays a cerebral style. That style, combined with the veterans the Generals have coming back project well for this group.
