Associate Head Coach Trevor Kleckner talked about the Teddy Bear toss for the Rush taking place tonight. The Rush are excited to bring back a yearly tradition.
Kleckner said, “This upcoming weekend( tonight), the Charlotte Rush is bringing back our historic teddy bear toss. In the past couple of years we’ve had to cancel it due to covid protocols but we are more than excited to be bringing it back and with a huge purpose. After the first Rush goal of our 7:45pm Premier matchup against Potomac, all fans are encouraged to toss their teddy bears onto the ice to be collected. The teddy bears donated will go to the Pineville Police Department’s Teddy Bear Program where the department gives them to children in need. The organization has already built such a strong relationship with the Pineville Police Department and we are thrilled to be working with them again. A special thanks to Sergeant Josh Harb and to the entire department for their help in constructing this event!”
