Planning ahead: The Charlotte Rush make four 23-24 signings-read more

The Charlotte Rush are where they are in junior hockey and at the top of the USPHL from an organizational perspective because they know how to build relationships with good people. One example is a relationship Associate Head Coach Trevor Kleckner discussed as it produced a bunch of quality discussions and talks leading to four signings today. As Kleckner said , “It’s never too early to start signing players and we are very fortunate to have four signed already for the 2023-2024 season.

Defenseman Adam Wiley, Defenseman Ashton Lesher, and Forward Darren Freeman all come to the Rush from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth Organization and Coach John Musella. John has been a great friend of the Charlotte Rush, as he sent his son to play for the Rush last season as he committed to Stevenson University. John believes in our development and advancement, as players from the Lehigh Valley have come down to Charlotte, having very successful careers. We expect many more players from the area to sign before next season with the help of John.

Defenseman Reilly Burke comes to the Rush from the Valley Forge Minutemen U18AAA team. Reilly also comes to the Rush with the help of John Musella as he trains Reilly throughout the year.

Each of these four players had the opportunity to come to Charlotte and experience what it’s like to play for the Rush. Their experience sold them on signing as they thoroughly enjoyed what we had to offer as an organization. We are extremely excited to see what they all can provide next season.”
