A good sign of development and growth for CPH is where players go to play junior hockey if they want to do so. Aiden Jones is the first player to pick the Rush. Read more on what the Charlotte Rush are getting from CPH Program director Troy Schwab.
“We are extremely excited for the opportunity Aiden has to be able to join the Charlotte Rush this upcoming season and we are expecting/hoping for Aiden to have a very good year.
Aiden was a very good player on Coach Bill Bredins 18U team last season. Aiden has put in a lot of work over the last few seasons and into this summer to get this opportunity. Over the last couple years he has practiced with the Rush during school off days, so the coaches were very familiar with him and his style of play.
Aiden could’ve left the Carolinas to go play AAA or prep school somewhere else over the last couple of years. He chose to stay with CPH as he felt he would get the development he needed and being able to stay at home would help him get where he wanted to go. There will be a learning curve for Aiden but I feel he is ready to play hockey at the junior level. In my opinion the way Aiden shoots the puck, he will find a way to score goals at the junior level.
Aiden played for the Pineville Falcons, CPH, and now playing for the Rush will have him play for all organizations that call the Pineville Ice House Home. I know we all are excited to see his season play out and will be rooting him on.”
