Premier Head Coach Trevor Jewell has had a lot to like about the Charlotte Rush this year. His team is already on track for another playoff spot, is fighting Potomac for another Southeast Division Championship, and is heading back outdoors to take on the Carolina Junior Hurricanes. Read more from Jewell below to get a sense of some changes coming to the outdoor games at Truist Field this weekend.

“Obviously we are extremely excited to be going back to Truist Field for another outdoor game. Last year the atmosphere was electric, it’s such a special moment for all of our players and something they will remember for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately last season the Premier team didn’t get to play due to ice issues, which was a tough situation for them. But the Elite game was fantastic and everything about was great. From the city backdrop, the locker room to all the people (friends, family, fans) in attendance, it was just special. Grace & the Charlotte Knights have been extremely accommodating and they do a wonderful job with the event.

This year, there are few changes and surprises in store. The biggest change being the location of the ice surface. Last year it was in the outfield and this year they have moved it to the infield over 2nd base. This will give the spectators a better view and better overall experience watching the game.

We are extremely excited and can’t wait to get this event started. It will be a fun, exciting, and memorable day for everyone involved.”
