Today, as AIC Football takes on Shippensburg, they will have a lot of new faces on the field. One thing that stands out about this team is its depth relative to previous AIC rosters in the past few seasons. Last year this team added some new transfers and this year’s class is expected to show up all over the box score and beyond.
Hear from one of the leaders that built this transfer class, Defensive Lins Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Rick Istvan ( Coach Hulk), on some players to watch today against Shippensburg.
“We have a few guys to look out for. On offense, we were able to get WR Kevin Pinhiero who adds depth to our quick and agile receiver room. Trumayne Guy from SCSU who is making an immediate impact on our offensive line, is bringing experience and dominance to our offensive line. Isaiah Smith out of Kutztown is another offensive lineman that adds depth and experience. We have a very talented offensive line that is a good mix of youth and experience. Defensively we brought in Khalil Graves a DB out of Morgan State who is going to be a great addition to our secondary. Jaree Jones a versatile LB from VUL who adds depth to an already fierce linebacking core. Finally on special teams we were able to get Santana Fonseca a transfer from CCSU who is a kicker punter as well as Ethan Rodriquez from ELACC JUCO who is also a Kicker Punter. All of these guys bring something special to this team. We had a very talented depth chart already. These guys just added to that. They all bring something to the program that we are excited to watch in 2024.”
All of these players along with the whole roster will have their first chance to prove something and start to try and bring back the black hole defense this program used to be known for along with playing well with starting Quarterback Ceaphus Williams. Kickoff is at noon.
