Northeast Generals Player Profile: Bryce Cooper

For a player with high end teams battling for his services, the Northeast Generals are a good place for him to develop. Bryce Cooper is a big defender with a strong shat and big puck sense. Many teams have seen him since he has recovered from a lower body injury, and he has not missed a beat. As Head Coach Bryan Erikson says of Cooper’s game “ Cooper is obviously huge and a phenomenal skater for someone his size. We love the nastiness he brings and his eagerness to improve. He asks a million questions and actually uses the feedback we give him. And that has helped him improve a lot. He’s a great kid that is so eager to get better. When he got hurt early it hampered his development a little bit and his confidence took a hit. But now that he back to full strength he is getting better. Need him to move the puck quicker and utilize his first option more. He is doing that and is turning a lot of heads at the D1 level and a lot of NHL teams have inquired about him too. We look forward to his steady improvement. He’s such a great kid with an elite work ethic that we can’t wait to see the player he continues to grow into.”

Cooper is a late round potential diamond playing a pro level game in the NAHL. Wherever he plays this sport next will be a great spot for him to pick up minutes, fast.
