Northeast Generals Player Profile:Joey McCreadie

Head Coach Daryl Locke of the NA3HL Northeast Generals had this to say about defensive defenseman Joey McCreadie. McCreadie is a defensive defender from the Nashville Tennessee area and is one of the most physical players that the Generals has. He will sacrifice himself to make those around him better, and knows what he needs to do. He is a player that you have to watch, not just read a box score to get a sense for what he is, McCreadie is more than the numbers. As Locke said, “I think Joey has fit in nice with our group of dmen. He’s well liked by his teammates and brings some size to our back end. He’s improving everyday in his puck handling and decision making. I think coming from his last team his development may have slowed a bit. Our practices are designed to increase your reps everyday. We practice at a high tempo so during games it becomes second nature to play fast. I’ve seen vast improvement in his skill and thought process. He still has a long way to go but he’s on the right track.”
